Peppermint is a small plant filled with tiny leaves known for its distinct pleasant aroma. It improves digestion, removes bad breath. Peppermint oil is helpful in reducing migraine related headaches. Peppermint water clears nasal block and it eases period pains in women.
A handful of mint leaves,2 spoons of cumin seeds,1 spoon of pepper,1 cup of grated coconut or coconut milk, buttermilk or lemon juice
Method of preparation
Grind mint leaves, cumin seeds, pepper, and grated coconut and add 1 glass of buttermilk or juice of half a lemon .Add salt or jaggery to taste. Skip buttermilk and add only lemon juice if it wants to be consumed hot.
Just boil 8 peppermint leaves in 1 glass of water to prepare peppermint tea. Add ginger if required. Drink this tea daily to reduce cold.
Peppermint leaves are used in various recipes like curries, salads, sauces and even those with non-vegetarian items. Peppermint leaves have abundant iron in them and thus maintain effective body heat.
Grind half a handful of mint leaves, 2 cloves, 1 garlic, 8-10 peppercorns, 2 tomatoes and boil this puree. Add half a spoon of coconut oil or ghee and consume this soup before food for health benefits. This recipe yields 4 cups of soup.
